These crosses are made by hand in Nicaragua from recycled materials for Rainbow Turtle by young adults with disabilities who are supported by the Nicaraguan NGO 'Familias Especiales' (Special Families).
Rainbow Turtle has been in partnership with Familias Especiales for the last 3 years, supporting the development of arts and crafts products in its Artiespecial workshop in Matagalpa which gives training and employment to young adults with disabilities in a country where such facilities are rare but where creativity blossoms.
