Fair trade is our mission: Make it yours
We work hard to make it easy for you to make your church fair trade
Your church can support Renfrewshire's status as a Fairtrade Zone
Fairtrade is committed to improving the lives of millions of people who
live in poverty in developing countries. Renfrewshire council,
organisations and volunteers worked hard together to achieve a
Fairtrade Zone status for Renfrewshire, awarded in 2009; A much larger campaign is
underway as the
Scottish Fairtrade Forum
is working towards getting Fairtrade status for Scotland.
We need your support to work together as a community to make this happen. By promoting Fairtrade you will be contributing to the campaign and being in solidarity with people in developing countries.
How can my church get involved?
Serve Fairtrade tea and coffee
Serve fairly traded foods and crafts to the members of your Church
Help promote Fairtrade through educational campaigns in your Church
Include Fairtrade issues in your prayer and worship
It's easy!
Rainbow Turtle offers a wide variety of Fairtrade products and has different packages to suit your needs.
We can help:
Fairtrade Stalls
We can help you set up a Fairtrade stall selling fair trade products and crafts as required. This is a good way to spread the message of Fairtrade, and to show people what kinds of Fairtrade products are available for their daily use.
Fairtrade beverages
We can provide a range of fairtrade beverages to order, including individual sachet/catering lots.
Fairtrade clothing
We can provide access to a unique range of fairly traded, handpainted clerical stoles and clerical shirts via our
online store.
The clerical shirts are not yet ready for sale, however the
handmade clerical stoles
are
proving popular.

Handmade Crosses
We can provide handmade crosses made by hand in Nicaragua from recycled materials for Rainbow Turtle by young adults with disabilities who are supported by the Nicaraguan NGO 'Familias Especiales' (Special Families).
These are ideal tokens for an event, as card-labels for a gift, and as personal bookmarks.
View the crosses on our online store.
